Teachers Day

Paying Tribute to our beloved Teachers

Teachers day in India is celebrated in the memory of the best teacher in the country Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September 1888 - 17 April 1975).

Radhakrishnan was one of India's most acclaimed scholars of comparative religion and philosophy.
He is considered through his efforts to have built a bridge between East and West by having shown the
philosophical systems of each tradition to be comprehensible within the terms of the other.
He wrote authoritative exegeses of India's religious and philosophical literature for the English speaking world.
His academic appointments included the King George V Chair of Mental and Moral Science at
the University of Calcutta and Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions and
Ethics at Oxford University (1936-1952).
He was the first Vice President of India (1952-1962), and the second President of India (1962-1967).
Among the many honours he received were a British knighthood (1931) and the Bharat Ratna (1954).

Our teachers help us shape up our lives.
Teachers have made us what we are today.
Let us know the name of your favorite teacher.
Write a few words about your teachers and let the world know how they help you become what you are today.

I remember my teachers for shouting at me & forcing me to do things i didnt like to do> Now i realise how important those things were.
I m really glad i had so wonderful teachers.
I m still in touch with a few & they still help & guide me in whatever i do.
Had they not been there, i wouldn't have been what i m today.
Thanks to all my teachers who taught me & helped me in my career. :)
